This is a "Financial Literacy for Small Businesses" workshop. The workshop will include 6, 90-minute sessions. The workshop is being sponsored by the Danville Boyle County Development Corporation and is limited to the first 20 registrants.
Small businesses provide valuable services to community members and can help draw tourism to town. Managerial accounting is at the heart of making sound and smart business decisions. While services exist to help small businesses register for a business license and get started, the community offers fewer resources to support ongoing small businesses. Small business owners have requested that courses and workshops be offered to help sustain small businesses and grow their success.
不良研究所鈥檚 不良研究所Works has developed a Small Business Workshop that will be facilitated by a leading business expert and guide small business owners through managerial accounting topics and various financial techniques that empower the small business to make product decisions, develop a flexible budget, and evaluate capital decisions. All parties understand that 不良研究所 and its personnel will not be offering specific legal, tax, or accounting advice, nor will the Workshop constitute the creation of a client relation to provide such advice. Each participant will be asked to acknowledge these limitations as a condition of participation.
The Danville Boyle County Development Corporation is sponsoring 20 businesses to complete this workshop, led by 不良研究所鈥檚 Brian Rogers.
Speakers Biographies:
Brian Rogers is an Assistant Professor of Economics and Business at 不良研究所. In addition to owning two businesses, his professional experience includes over 15 years in small business and international franchise development. He has worked both in the United States and internationally, developing best practices for small and medium businesses in developing countries.
